I apologize for causing so much angst at the meeting today. I have a huge amount of respect for Tony. Whether a COI is actual or only perceived its the same. In any event, I trust the process going forward will adhere to the high standards of science set by the Salk over the last many decades and independent of the candidate’s administrative role. Its a very strong and diverse committee. My sincere apologies to John for my objections concerning the chair. Sincerely. Joe Noel
